SAC Gallery and MozArt Advisory are excited to announce the return of French artist Hom Nguyen to Thailand with the exhibition Un Monde Meilleur: A Better World. This exhibition highlights the message of seeking hope and a better world after coming out of the Covid-19 pandemic. The exhibition will showcase new works featuring Nguyen’s signature portrait painting style that has gained international recognition and was made him Knight of the National Order of Merit of France. The exhibition will be displayed on the second floor of SAC Gallery from July 26, 2022, until 27 August 2022. Nguyen will be at SAC Gallery Aug 6, 2022for the opening reception at 4:00 p.m. and to give an artist tour.   Un Monde Meilleur: A Better World is an exhibition showcasing Nguyen’s latest series of paintings on canvas, featuring his signature portrait of faces that seem like strangers, yet they are so familiar. By using his expressive strokes, inspired by Francis Bacon, Nguyen creates links between the audience and the subjects of the portraits, connecting viewers with their soulful eyes beyond the first visual impact. In his paintings, Nguyen creates space, volume and softness of the lines as the strokes dance across the canvas and bring out expressions behind the faces. This is also a rare occasion to see Nguyen’s works splashed with bright and vivid colours. This exhibition seeks to look past what is in front of us, and examine further below the surface, in search of a better world within.    Nguyen’s portrait subjects have ranged from historical to recent icons, such as Napolean Bonaparte, Edith Piaf, and a recent collaboration with the La Monnaie de Paris and Vogue for a painting of Michelle Obama, which was auctioned off by Christie’s to benefit gender equality and women’s empowerment through the United Nations Women. On November 24, 2021, Nguyen was made Knight of the National Order of Merit of France in recognition of his service to the country through his dedication to art.    For more information, please visit: http://www.sac.gallery

SAC Gallery presents, “Distance and Existence”    A group exhibition by: Kade Javanalikhikara Amornthep Mahamart Jiratchaya Pripwai Aor Sutthiprapha  Kitikong Tilokwattanotai   Many people often question the meanings behind abstract art, or the artists’ intentions. While abstract artists have carved out their own slice of history, giving birth to many artistic theories meant to illustrate the quality and aesthetics of these works. The practice itself has also developed and branched off into numerous concepts and techniques. Nevertheless, the aforementioned idea of beauty that does not require definition or attention gives rise to questions regarding the existence of abstract art within the modern contemporary art movement, where the means of communication with the audience have changed.   The "Distance and Existence" exhibition aims to present a conversation between the audience and the abstract works of 5 artists, pieces of abstract art that reflect the personalities and thoughts through differing perspectives based on age, outlook, and experience. Abstract art allows us to witness a paradigm shift from the accumulation of differing ways of thinking, memories, careful evaluation of experiences, or even spontaneous reactions. The works of artists in creating abstract art is akin to planning out states that deliberately respond to the senses to achieve a goal. While sometimes possibilities and coincidences are barely distinguishable from one another. But in the era of contemporary art, works of abstract art have arrived at a place where they are no longer mere visual expressions, becoming alchemical creations that do not adhere to technique, procedure, or material any longer.     Whether it be the thought process, the evaluation stage, to allow visual  experiences to work in tandem with the work’s physical condition is an important process. The Distance and Existence exhibition aims to present the works of all five esteemed artists, to let audiences observe and ponder on the indecipherable language of abstract art. This aesthetic communicates with the audiences mainly through the empty spaces in the middle; like a conversation under the silence, where both audience and artwork are respectfully communicating with each other.    The exhibition “Distance and Existence” will be held on the first floor of Art Centre Bldg., SAC Gallery from 23 July until 17 September 2022. The official opening ceremony will be held on 23 July 2022, 5:00PM onwards.   For more information: http://www.sac.gallery

SAC Gallery presents, . Workshop | The secret of flowers by Naraphat Sakarthornsap . 'The secret of flowers’ is an extension workshop of the series 'The Other Side of Flower Arrangement' in the solo exhibition 'Nature versus Nurture' on the 3rd floor of the SAC Gallery building. The flower language used to be a medium for communication for some specific groups. It had become a silence that unconsciously separated the people from each other. Beauty and communication have become a limit to the public access to the art of floral arrangement. Artist uses flower arrangements to tell their own inner stories. Reduce the beauty determined through the knowledge of the art of flower arranging that is passed on to a specific group of people with self-education and self-learning. From seasonal flowers that can be easily purchased, arrange them in household appliances as containers instead of vases. It is telling the stories through flower arrangements accessible to everyone. and being able to create by yourself without being attached to the beauty that is defined. . In the event, the artist will invite the participants to join and arrange their flowers by creating and sharing the stories they want to tell through flower arrangements. And stored as a memoir through photos by the artist (momento) and will be recorded and delivered after the end of the activity. .
