Museum Information : Dara Pirom Palace is the royal palace of His Highness, Dara Rasamee, Phra Racha Chaya in the reign of King Rama V (King Rama 5), which is a valuable heritage of the land. Chulalongkorn University renovated the palace . It is beautiful as same as the original condition and exhibited as a museum of utensils related to the royal princess Dara Rasami and her works . Dara Phirom Palace has a two-story building with reinforced concrete structure . In the past, the basement was clear, but it was renovated for other purpose later . The building style is a western based on the popularity of those days. It similar residents in Bangkok in same period . The upper floor consists of many large rooms .Each room is airy .There are stencil pattern at the wall for air flowing .The roof is made from reinforced concrete and can see garden view .Roof style is Gable and Milila Hipped roof . The archway entrance is for parking . The surrounding area of the palace is all called "Suan Chao Sabai" consists of agricultural experiment plots ,flower garden, orchard, perennial plant and vegetables etc. Besides, the palace, Chulalongkorn University have also built a Rasami Patthana building to be exhibition room related to the royal princess Dara Rasamee history ,Lanna arts and culture that rotating every 3 months. Including training programs in various Lanna cultural works such as folk music, Lanna dance, cutting and making lanterns for students and communities around Dara Phirom Palace to reveal honor and continue the Lanna arts and culture.
