Chiang Mai Doll Making Center founded by the Boonpragong family, It was started in Bangkok .After Khun Yutthana has moved to settle in Chiang Mai and has operated the doll business continue working from his mother . Most of dolls is made from easy-to-find materials in the local area, such as the remnants of cloths or capoc , so-called "cloth dolls", which were invented as various hill tribe dolls in Thailand. Next, they were adapted to use ceramic and porcelain. Present day , all dolls are made from this three main materials . Khun Yuttana have collected every models of doll that has been produced by creating a private museum. There are nearly 80,000 pieces different styles of dolls, such as Khon costumes, western doll sets, Thai dolls, and dolls purchased from various places. Chiang Mai Doll museum opens for free admission to be a learning and tourism . Chiang Mai Doll Making Center displays by dividing the dolls into the lifestyle of various hill tribes, cultures and traditions ,Children's play activities ,local appliances and Art works . There are also exhibits of objects and collectibles such as agricultural tools, daily appliances, clothing and woven fabrics, wickerwork, other collectibles for education.
