The inscription from King Rama VII to Queen Rampai Pannee

In this visit, his majesty the king went along with Queen Rampaipannee, as stated in daily archives in his majesty the king Somdej Phra Pokklao Chao yu hua as followed;

On Saturday April 23rd, 1927,

At 10.00 ก.ท. in the morning, The royal barge “Maha Chakri” had moved inside and anchored at Koh chang island. In the afternoon, the local people had set the Citizenship Sailing race presented for the king. At 16.30 ล.ท. The king went visiting Thaan Mayom waterfall. Phraya Kraipetch and officials who were welcoming, with the local in the island gave some gift for his majesty. King Phra Pokklao took photo of the waterfall and inscribe his initial P.P.R. 2470 at the second floor cliff of the waterfall, and had some snack at the pavilion. For a good time, the king returned to the royal barge. While an inscription “RN” was inscribed at 17 March 1973.

Later, Ajarn Sompotch wasukree, a former government teacher explained the facts, that an inscription “RN” was not the letter RN, It was Thai characters “R” and “P” which stand for the Queen Rampai Pannee. He also added that he was appointed by the provincial government to inscribe at the cliff.
