When Thai and French government had agreed a new treaty of border agreement on March 23, 1906. French would return Trat and other islands below Ling cape until Koh Kood, both sides appointed their delegations to granting/accepting territories at Trat town on July 6, 1907

         On July 5, Phraya Maha-ammat with military officials and police moved from H.M.S. crown prince got off at Nam Chiaw district, and walked to stay overnight at Lam Duan temple. He assigned Phraya Wichaya Thibordi and Mr. Robin to meet Monsieur Russo, French Official for the territory exchange. After Thai delegation accepted the land, then French will lower down the flag, horn the trumpet and salution. However, send telegram explain about the process that when French received Phratabong, that was; on that day, they did not raise Thai flag, just left only a pole, No French flag was on the pole. After France accepted the land, then raised the French flag later. So, for accepting Trat this time, Thai would not raised French flag, after French delegation grant the land, then just raised Thai flag.

         At dawn of July 6, at 09.00 am, both sides wear full uniforms gathering together with military officials and policemen, at Trat town hall. French official read the granted letter in French, then send the translation letter to Thai side. Thai delegation accepted the town, and show good friendship as traditional custom. Both sides drank blessing for countries and end of the ceremony.
