นิทรรศการ Intentional Chance โดย กิติก้อง ติลกวัฒโนทัย
นำเสนอจิตรกรรมนามธรรมที่เต็มไปด้วยความหลากหลายของสี ทีแปรง และพื้นผิว
ผลงานหลายๆ ชิ้นขับเน้นภาพที่ดำเนินเรื่องราวด้วยรอยพู่กันอย่างโดดเด่น
ด้วยท่าที (gesture) ที่แตกต่างและหลากหลาย
ดูราวกับเป็นภาพสัญลักษณ์ที่อยู่ตรงกลางระหว่างอักขระและความหมาย
แม้ทีแปรงหรือพู่กันจะเคยถูกสำรวจมาก่อนในประวัติศาสตร์ของศิลปะ
จิตรกรมากมายล้วนต้องการที่จะตั้งคำถามเกี่ยวกับรอยพู่กันเมื่อมันได้กวัดแกว่งไปบนผิวผ้าใบ
กิติก้อง ก็ยังเป็นอีกศิลปินที่ใช้ร่องรอยเหล่านี้เพื่อค้นคว้าไปถึงโครงสร้างทางความคิด
สภาวะรอบตัว ความรู้สึก เช่นเดียวกับพลังงานที่เราเคยรับรู้ได้จากภาพวาดของเด็กๆ
จากการเคลื่อนไหวพู่กันของสัตว์ หรือจะทั่งของนักกวีผู้ใช้พู่กันในการเขียนอักขระ
Intentional Chance จึงเป็นนิทรรศการที่ต้องการเสนอท่าทีใหม่ๆ ให้กับงานนามธรรม
ด้วยรหัสภาษาของพู่กัน เชื้อเชิญผู้ชมร่วมเดินทางค้นหาความหมายที่เปิดกว้าง
ของจิตรกรรมร่วมสมัย
นิทรรศการ Intentional Chance จะจัดแสดง ณ SAC Gallery
ตั้งแต่ 3 เมษายน – 23 พฤศภาคม พ.ศ.2564
โดยพิธีเปิดจะมีในวันที่ 3 เมษายน พ.ศ.2654 เวลา 18:00 น.
และเปิดให้เข้าชมในวันอังคาร - เสาร์ เวลา 10:00 น. - 18:00 น. (วันอาทิตย์ทำนัดหมายล่วงหน้า)
Intentional Chance, an exhibition by Kitikong Tilokwattanotai,
displays abstract paintings highlighting a variety of colour schemes,
brushstrokes, and texture.
Tilokwattanotai utilizes his unique brushstroke technique in many unexpected ways.
The gestures provoke our imagination to ponder the meaning of each of the paintings,
whether they are symbolic or alphanumeric script.
The artist is retracing the history of brushstrokes by exploring
his ideas and his surrounding,
he observes the outcome on the canvas and of his emotions once the brushstroke
marks the blank canvas. The traces and gestures harmonize with colours
and brushstrokes becoming a unique way of communication
that Tilokwattanotai has discovered. To finish the pieces, he glazes the entire
surface with special material which defineshis
brushstrokes.'Intentional Chance' is an exhibition that celebrates abstract paintings
in which gesture and brush coding collide.
The exhibition will be held at SAC Gallery
from 3rd April – 23rd May 2021 with opening reception on 3rd April at 18.00 onward.
