Lecture and Workshop: Hibla ng Lahing Traveling Exhibition .#Lecture and Weaving Demonstration July 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm..The weaving demonstration using the foot loom (which is part of the exhibition display) is the interactive section of the exhibit. Our expert weavers will conduct the demos, explain the processes and assist viewers who want to learn or experience weaving.Pineapple leaves, fibers and spinning wheel will also be prepared to demonstrate to viewers the extraction of fibers, knotting of fibers and transfer of fibers to the spool for the weft..****#Lecture and Embroidery Workshop July 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.The workshop will be facilitated by or expert hand embroiderers. Free workshop kits will be distributed to participants who registered during the lecture-series or before the start of the workshop. The facilitators will explain the contents of the kit and the embroiderers will demonstrate the step by step process of embroidery: 1) attaching or placing the cloth in the frame; 2) transferring the design/drawing to the piña-seda cloth; 3) preparing the needles and threads; 4) familiarization on the different types of embroidery stitches; 5) hand-embroidery proper..Programs will be conducted from July 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10 at the Multi-purpose Building, Museum Siam. Each lecture has limited seating for 30 pax. Kindly contact Ms. Pattayarach Thamwongsa at 02 2252777 ext.101 or email at pattayarach@ndmi.or.th for inquiries. For those whom interested to join the activities please reserve directly at http://bit.ly/31ODXl6
